Why does Amcon request a copy of a TPA license from an optometrist before shipping his or her pharmaceutical order?

Collecting a TPA (Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent) license is a Missouri requirement before any pharmaceutical products (diagnostic or therapeutic) can be distributed to an optometrist, regardless of where the optometrist's office is located. Once Amcon has an optometrist's TPA license on file, there is no need to send another copy until it expires.

However, the practitioner is solely responsible for complying by the laws of his or her state. Amcon assumes no liability for practitioner compliance.
